Uses:
- Dry fast
- Breathable, allowing oil paintings to "breathe" until the paint is completely dry
- Rub on the surface of a painting that is unfinished but has dried to create "adhesion" for the new layer of paint
- Use as a temporary protective coating when the painting has not dried for 6 months or more
- Create a glossy layer for paintings
Details:
A glossy coating made by dissolving dammar resin with gasoline (Petrol). Quick-drying and breathable, allowing oil paintings to "breathe" until the paint is completely dry. Used to rub on the surface of a painting that is unfinished but has been dry for a long time, creating "stickiness" and good adhesion for the new paint layer.
Retouching varnish can be used as a temporary protective coating when the painting has not dried for 6 months or more and creates a glossy layer for the painting.
